Payton Hanson finished with double and three RBI to help Bloomington Jefferson upset rival Chanhassen.

May 10

Bloomington Jefferson 3, Chanhassen 2. Bloomington Jefferson extended its winning streak to three games after edging out rival Chanhassen. The Jaguars led 3-1 after three innings, and the No. 1-4A Storm tightened the game with one run in the top of the seventh but it was as close as they could get. Payton Hanson led Bloomington Jefferson with a double and three RBI, and teammate Annie Miller went 2-for-3 with a double. Pitcher Ashley Neuenfeldt earned the win. It was the first loss of the season for the Storm, who saw their 15-game winning streak snapped. Alex Velazquez went 1-for-2 with a double and an RBI, and pitcher Marybeth Olson had six strikeouts.

May 10

Prior Lake 3, Burnsville 1. The Blaze got one run back in the seventh, but could not rally to tie the game. Lakers pitcher Kailey Ahlstrom earned her 10th win of the season after giving up just three hits and striking out nine. Sydney Trees led the Prior Lake offense, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, and Alexandra Pinkowski went 2-for-3. Pitcher Megan Osterhaus was strong on the mound for Burnsville, striking out seven. Bridget Armstrong went 1-for-3 with an RBI for the Blaze.

May 11

Burnsville 4, Eagan 3 (9 innings). Eagan tied the game 1-1 in the top of the seventh and scored once in the eighth to take a lead. Burnsville battle to tied the game 2-2 and force a ninth inning, where the Wildcats once again took the lead with a run. But the Blaze scored twice in the bottom of the inning to win. Burnsville’s Sawyer Brewster went 2-for-5 with three RBI, bringing her season total to 22 on the season. Bri Hoevet went 3-for-4, and pitcher Megan Osterhaus struck out nine to earn win No. 12. Eagan’s Karina Monson went 2-for-4 with an RBI, and Taylor Anderson contributed an RBI.

May 11

North Branch 9, St. Francis 7. North Branch scored early and often but it was enough to deter St. Francis, which tallied two runs in the bottom of the seventh before the Vikings shut the door on the comeback. Sophie Smith went 2-for-4 with two RBI for the North Branch, and teammate Cassandra Sinn went 3-for-4 with an RBI. Pitcher Samantha Pederson struck out seven to earn the win. Emily Sarell went 2-for-3 and Ally Mathwig tallied an RBI for the Fighting Saints.

May 12

St. Agnes 4, Blake 3 (8 innings). Blake rallied with a run in the sixth and two in the seventh to tie the game, but St. Agnes scored in the bottom of the eighth inning to seal the victory. Pitcher Gemma Rossini had good day at the plate for St. Agnes, going 4-for-4 with an RBI. Teammate Bailey Larkin went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Rossini earned her sixth win of the season after recording eight strikeouts. MaKenna Vavricek went 1-for-3 with a triple and Ruth Goldenberg contributed an RBI for the Bears.

May 13

Woodbury 1, Anoka 0. It only took one run in the third inning for No.7-4A Woodbury to win its 12th straight. The Royals' Cam Veenbaas went 2-for-2 and had two stolen bases, while Amanda Dickmeyer went 2-for-4 with a stolen base. Pitcher Ashley Mickschl earned her eighth win of the season and had 10 strikeouts. Laura King went 1-for-3 and Alyssa Wicks went 1-for-3 for the Tornadoes, who recorded their first of the season and snapped a 16-game winning streak despite pitcher Amber Elliot striking out 10 batters.
