Petersen slugs Park Center to victory over Andover

PARK CENTER 9, ANDOVER 3: Jordan Petersen hit two home runs, her fourth and fifth of the season, as the Class 2A, No. 7 Pirates topped the Huskies in the Northwest Suburban on Monday. Teammate Megan VanHulzen chipped in with her first career homer.

NORWOOD-YOUNG AMERICA 6, JORDAN 0: Freshman Natalie Stockman threw a no-hitter and belted a grand slam, leading the Raiders past the Jaguars in the Minnesota River. She also had two singles.

RICHFIELD 1, SOUTH ST. PAUL 0: Senior Carly Klass threw a complete game shutout, allowing just four hits in the Spartans’ victory over the Packers in the Classic Suburban.

ST. PAUL ACADEMY 9, ST. CROIX LUTHERAN 1: Junior Anna Olson threw a complete game, allowing just one earned run on four hits while striking out eight as the Spartans beat the Crusaders in the Tri-Metro. Olson also hit a home run, scored three runs and had three RBI in the win.
