Tade's shutout lifts Park Center

• PARK CENTER 1, COOPER 0 [8 INN.]: Pitcher Nicola Tade and the Pirates are serving notice they are determined to defend their 2010 Class 2A championship. Tade pitched her fourth consecutive shutout, striking out 11 batters. Megan Van Hulzen provided the game-winning RBI, a double in the bottom of the eighth inning.

• PRIOR LAKE 7, EAGAN 6: Prior Lake eighth-grader Sheye Barton couldn’t have asked for a better start to her varsity career. Called up to the varsity Saturday, she hit .300 in a weekend tournament. She continued her hot streak Tuesday by going 2-for-2 with a walk and a second-inning grand slam as the Lakers held off a late Eagan rally

.• STILLWATER 5, EAST RIDGE 1: Sophomore pitcher Rachel Rhode fanned 13 Raptors en route to the victory.

• RICHFIELD 5, TARTAN 2: Kalie Johnson went 3-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI and a run scored for the Spartans.

HOLY FAMILY 9, NORWOOD-YOUNG AMERICA 2: Pitcher Michaela LaRose improved her record to 10-2 on the season and registered her 100th strikeout in  the victory.
