Macey Etter, Shaina Nocak and Tanner Ersbo all had RBI hits as Cotton/Cherry defeated New Ulm Cathedral 3-0 on Thursday in the Class 1A state quarterfinals at Caswell Park.
The Tigers scored their runs in the bottom of the first, fourth and sixth innings. Pitcher Sara Sauter kept New Ulm Cathedral at bay, striking out nine and allowing just three hits to move her record to 12-1.
Etter finished 2-for-2.
