Hastings fell behind early but it was all a distant memory after a dominant 16-1 victory over Bloomington Jefferson on Thursday morning at Caswell Park.
The Raiders scored a state tournament record 11 runs in the top of the seventh inning as part of their rout. Lori Bauer and Kaitlin Stark each clubbed three-run home runs in that inning. Treya Connell also went yard in the game, helping her own cause. Connell struck out nine batters to earn the win.
The Jaguars made five errors.
