As Treya Connell goes, so does Hastings.

The senior pitcher turned in another outstanding performance Thursday afternoon. In the Class 3A semifinals, Connell struck out nine Hopkins batters in a 7-2 Raiders victory.

Connell also helped her own cause by going 2-for-4 out of the cleanup spot in the batting order, including a rocket home run to lead off the fifth inning. That made it a 4-0 game.

Michaela Mills had three RBI for the Raiders, who will face Forest Lake in Friday's championship game. Hastings defeated the Rangers 8-2 on April 21.
