Hermantown is into the Class 2A finals after a 4-2 semifinals victory over Mankato East.

The Hawks did all of their scoring in the bottom of the fourth inning. Katie Thun picked up from where she left off in the quarterfinals with an RBI double to left-center to kick off the scoring. Meagan Willis also roped an RBI hit while pinch-hitter Amber Wissen clocked a two-run single to round out the inning.

Thun went the distance and struck out seven for Hermantown, which is now in its seventh championship game. The Hawks were runner-up to Park Center last year.
